How to Create a High Quality Website And Increase Visitors

Quality content is original, purposeful and correctly optimized information that people and search engines are driven to read, view and share. For a website, content is the basic and most important thing to attract visitors. The following points are eight keys to making a high quality content website.

1. High relevance of not only key words but also topics and context. Search engines like Google can recognize the most relevant content for customers.

2. Keep more than 900 words content per page. Sites with more words in the copy occupy higher-ranking positions.

3. Add images and videos for visitors. An image must be at least 32*32px in size to be counted as such.

4. Make sure to correct grammar and spelling. Try to make the website more professional and authoritative. According to statistics, 42.5% of customers are turned off by poor spelling or grammar.

5. Use the Flesch reading ease formula to check the readability of your text. The specific mathematical formula is:

RE=206.835-(1,015* ASL)-(84.6*ASW)

RE= Readability Ease

ASL=Average Sentence Length (the number of words divided by the number of sentences)

ASW=Average number of syllables per word (the number of syllables divided by the number of words)

RE is a number ranging from 0-100: 100 means very easy and 0 means very confusing.

6. Use h1/h2 tags, numbers lists and bullet points to format the content. Keep sentences and paragraphs short. Use bold and italics to highlight important parts.

7. Use social media to promote your articles. Create Facebook and twitter account to promote the content. Talking to the social media,  timing is important to be considered because your visitors and followers prefer using social media sites during specific hours. According to statistics:

  • Facebook:

86% of posts are published during the workweek with engagement peaking on Thursday and Friday. And the best time of the day to get most shares is at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. is the best time to get the most clicks.

  • Twitter

For B2B markers, weekdays provide 14% more engagement than weekends, and for B2C information, Twitter engagement for brands is 17% higher on weekends. 5 p.m. can obtain the highest retweets and 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. have the highest click rate.

8. Add links in content. An external link to the content can highly increase the rank of your article and an internal link in your article to other website can perfect the content.
