Cinefest 2015
Cinefest, hosted by the Syracuse Cinephile Society, showcases some rarely seen cinema. Now in its 35th year, the festival started yesterday and will go on till Sunday, 22nd, and is being held at the Holiday Inn Syracuse-Liverpool.
The festival is an amalgamation of some never-heard-of or seen-of movies. Sometimes, even an IMDb search will prove to be useless. But this festival is the mecca to cinema enthusiasts with a trajectory of silent and sound feature films.
This year, the festival will screen some early Fox features like “Painted Woman” (1932), with Spencer Tracy; “Life In the Raw” (1933), with George O’Brien and Claire Trevor and “The Last Man On Earth” (1924), with Earle Foxe among other silver screen beauties. These are not to be missed!
