School Daze: Fashion and Education
Supermodel and Syracuse University alumna Emme(@SupermodelEmme) will headline the eighth annual Fashion and Beauty Communications Milestone Fashion show on April 10th at Syracuse University. The School Daze: Fashion and Education will be hold at Hergenhan Auditorium.
Each year, the Fashion & Beauty Communications Milestone fashion show takes on a critical issue being discussed in the mass media. Education will be explored with the fashion show this year. There are eight segments the audience can use to discover the American educational system using clothing and accessories.. And included segments are:
- Strike Up the Band: High school band marches into the Hergenhan Auditorium. Band members will perform in uniform.
- Standardized Testing: The last model in this segment of the show rebels against this institutional dress by yanking off her uniform jacket and throwing it into the crowd.
- Rebel with a Cause: Examines periods of history where youth rebelled against the status quo and donned appearances that make bold, counter-culture statements against prevailing attitudes.
- Making Your Mark: SU’s Fashion Design program leads the way in education by designing plus-size clothing. Original fashion designed by SU alumna and model Emme.
